If You Have Nothing, Just Keep Your Spirit and Belief

Most of big noises began from spirit and belief. Michael H.Hart in his first book “The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History” which has sold more than 500,000 copies and been translated into 15 languages (you can find the translation in Indonesia language on Perpustakaan Online), wrote about 100 top persons based on average of how big their influence for human being. When you read that book, you will find in almost of their life was begun from spirit and belief. Spirit made them strong, spirit made them try the best effort to get success. Spirit which has an influence for belief and dream, is one of the most important that human need to have in their life.

There are a lot of famous figures who don’t have money, or good and complete physical potential, even don’t have normal Intelligence quotient (IQ), but they are able to be the great person and give so many advantages for human being in the world. They only have spirit and belief to be what they want, and they do it, they are what they think.

Who knows a Japanese who spent his early childhood helping his father with his bicycle repair business. At the time his mother, Mika, was a weaver. Without any formal education, he left home and headed to Tokyo to look for work. He obtained an apprenticeship at a garage and after some vacillation over his employment, he stayed for six years, working as a car mechanic before returning home to start his own auto repair business at the age of 22. And then he became a president of the Honda Motor Company, his own business. He is a Soichiro Honda. He had no education, from a poor family backgound, but now he is the owner of the 6th largest automobile manufacturer in the world as well as the largest engine-maker in the world, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year. As of August 2008, Honda surpassed Chrysler as the 4th largest automobile manufacturer in the United States. Currently, Honda is the second largest manufacturer in Japan behind Toyota and ahead of Nissan. Incredible!

Who knows a Helen Keller. An American author, political activist and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Another person is Muhammad saw, a last prophet of Islam. Who knows he was born in a plain family background. He was an illiteracy and poor. But you can see, Michael H.Hart put him on the first ranking of the most influential persons in history. According to Hart, Muhammad saw is the only one who has the incredible success that his influence is still strong and deep until now. There are still a lot of incredible persons that I can’t write all. But for all, they start from nothing, nobody, but they have spirit and belief. That makes them stronger to face this life and believe that God will always be with them. That’s all what we should have. If you have nothing, just keep your spirit and belief, if you don’t, you are same like a dead person. No spirit, no belief.
