War against the latest Google algorithm or what we call Penguin still continues. This algorithm has hit the online business world and makes many webmasters lost their livelihoods and start from zero again to restore back their internet marketing business.
If you also get Google hits, then you should immediately change your website because it is very difficult to predict when Google will restore your website, especially if your website is detected having unnatural backlink or using a paid link service, and I am very sure it will be more difficult to recover your website in SERP if you have any problems like these. I try to research and do trial and error to apply the best way to recover my websites from Penguin, and there are several advices from most webmasters in certain trusted forums that are safe to apply.
301 Penguin Recovery
One of the most popular technique today is by moving your website into a new domain and use 301 redirect link from the old domain into the new one. This method is considered as the most efficient way instead of keeping and repairing your old website to get back on Google rank. Besides, you will also need more time to build your new website and optimize it.
Below are several ways that can be probably used to recover your website into a new domain:
- Do some de-optimization steps. Decrease keyword density to 1%-2% and delete the h2, h3 and tag if you use it in your post content. This is important to avoid your website from Google assumption that your website is considered doing keyword stuffing. You are also recommended to use LSI keyword to get maximum result.
- Buy a new domain and build new website. It is recommended to get old age domain, but if you cannot find it, you can use new age domain. Move your website (including all contents and files) into the new domain.
- Login to your Google webmaster tool account and do the URL change. Do not forget to add your old domain and new domain before doing the change.
- Do the 301 URL change by using httaccess on your website. Add these codes below into your httaccess and upload to public_html folder or your website folder

Change “oldsite.com” with your old website and “newsite.com” with your new website.
- Build backlink to the new website using social bookmark and social network website. I recommend you to use SENuke (click here to visit the website) to do this task because it has good feature to gain encounter Google Penguin. If you think its cost is too expensive, you can try its alternative. I have written about it completely here.
Use link pyramid strategy through authoritative website, especially web 2.0. Avoid building backlink from high OBL website or website which has a lot of spam comments. Comment blasting by using scrapebox and profile forum backlink is still useful if you use it for your two tier backlink or to your first layer in pyramid backlink, especially on web 2.0 with high PR. Never use scrapebox or other spamming softwares directly to your main website because it is very dangerous.
One of the backlink methods on second layer of pyramid link is by using wiki website backlink. I recommend you to use wiki bomber (click here to visit the website) to do this job because it has more powerful feature than others. Please remember, I do not recommend you to use wiki bomber directly to your main website. You can only use it to your second layer backlink website.
Do not ever focus building backlink to your homepage only. You also have to build backlink to internal page. As a warning, you must use anchor text variation on your backlink. Use only 20% anchor text which contains keyword, and for the rest, use the generic text or naked URL. You can read it more at my post here.
I have tried these techniques on my websites that are hit by Penguin. As the result, although it is slow enough, but now it increases my website rank better and the traffic also increases slowly. I have to be more patient to do this. And do not forget to make used your self to build backlink on authority website or trusted website. Never do spamming again and only build website with high quality article because it will help your website much and determine whether Google will hit your website again or not in the future.
By the way, as these techniques are still in my trial and error mode, so if you want to try these techniques, please do well and be patient.
